@@TCChavez That's odd. I have no problem playing it on my computer or phone. Try restarting your app/browser. It might just be a glitchy cache issue.

Unfortunately, I don't fully utilise SoundCloud anymore, as its model and pricing structure for someone with as large of a back catalogue as mine (relative to stream-count), simply isn't viable. However, it's streamable on numerous other services. You can also download it for free from BandCamp (the link's in the description - just put a zero in the price box and you'll be able to download it for free), and then you can play it endlessly from whatever media-player you use (windows media player, VLC, etc, etc...). I hope that's of some help. 👍🏼

Nice! Glad to know that article is of interest to other DX-21 owners. Yeah, it's a superb synth. I've had it almost ten years and I'm still using it. I used it just last week on a new track I'm working on. It's one of my (not so) secret weapons in my arsenal for making 80s sounding music and/or tones that feel like they could have been heard in Sonic The Hedgehog back in the day 😆.

When there are only a few components in a piece of music, there's nowhere for them to hide. The few things that make up the music are all very exposed, and have to carry a lot emotive weight, usually through minimal acts (minimal input, maximum output). You're right in that crafting music that way isn't necessarily easy. Perhaps I could have worded things better in the video. I guess, what I meant is that nothing's complicated. The parts being played, the arrangement, the mix; it's all very simple, musically/technically speaking. But as you rightly point out, simple and easy don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. I suppose what's hard is conceiving and shaping the compositional idea to begin with. That's probably a talking point for a future video, but in short, it's largely a matter of intuition gained from experience, and drawing on that to steer the way, coupled with patience towards the creative process, and knowing when not to over-think things. Assuming you're attempting to make your own ambient music, just keep on going, even if it's hard, and don't over-think it. There's no substitute for experience, and overly scrutinising your work-in-progress can be very detrimental. Enjoy creating and let what comes out, come out. It's important to finish projects and more beneficial to analyse them in retrospect, in the cold light of day, once the creative drive has calmed down a bit. You can't objectively analyse and improve, whilst in the heady flow of creativity. You need a little time and space away from the project to hear it the way others do.
